I certainly consider our collaboration with Cub on the Abba Dabba Dabba CD to have been a true privilege and we’ll always value Cub’s support for the Schoolkids’ Label. When Cub gave me an advance cassette of Abba Dabba for the first time listen, I was on my way to a music conference in Cleveland. I popped the cassette in the tape player and settled back to digest it during the trip. As it turns out after listening to it straight through I found it was stuck in the player and couldn’t remove it. It just kept playing and repeating. I listened to it all the way to Cleveland, and during driving around Cleveland and all the way back to Ann Arbor. When I hit the Ann Arbor City limits, the tape inexplicably popped out of the player. The cool part is that I loved the music more at the end of the trip than I did after the first listen. I was hooked. Pure Cubmania!
Cub will always hold a special place in our memories.
