A Cub Koda Story submitted by Tom Casey.

The house literally pulled the plug on them to get them to stop. What a great show!

I had seen Brownsville Station several times in the early '70's. They were one of our favorite bands.

There was one particular show at the Morris Civic Auditorium in South Bend, In. The band was really fired up that night. There was an orchestra pit in front of the stage, and Cub convinced people to jump in there to get closer to the stage. Of course we were more than happy to do so. He then christened us the magic choir. They then preceded to play way beyond the 11:00 PM curfew that the Morris had in effect. The house literally pulled the plug on them to get them to stop. What a great show! From that point on, we would always get the magic choir started at every show that came there.

But here is the rest of the story. A couple of years later I was going to bring Foghat to the Morris, and I told them that I was negotiating with Brownsville Station to be the opening act. They informed me that they were banned from ever coming back!! Oh, those were the days!!!
